Thanks Josi. I will figure something out from your answer.

Kaki, That is a good question. There are a at least a couple of possibilities. The first is to design and complete a plan for gradual exposure that you do outside of the drive to work. So, you do the drive to and from work everyday and in the evenings and weekends you do gradual exposure work. It won't make the drive to work any easier at first but it should help in the long run. Another alternative would be to do much more driving to and from work or driving under the same conditions. The approach here would be to do massive and intensive exposure over a short period of time. So, for example, some people take a week off work and do nothing but drive, starting out with easier exposure work for the first couple of days and then working themselves up to what they "have" to do. Hope this helps, Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

My issue is panic attack while driving, mostly to work (red traffic lights, wide and busy streets, open fields)-I have a 45mns commute. I understand the concept of "gradual exposure but in my case I have a twice a day full blast exposure (not "fun".) Nothing I can do to make it gradual. Should I go foward faster into the program instead of spending a week on each session? Thanks.
