Just an update, and I am not saying go join LA, but I am saying you can lose the weight if you choose some kind of good diet program.
I have lost 26 lbs and am down 16 inches. I feel wonderful, better than I have in years. We can do quit smoking and then lose the weight. Losing the weight was allot easier than quitting smoking was. Good Luck!!

That does sound like what I am doing. It seems we need a balance of foods in our diet and most of us don't get it. I think theres too much carbs and starch in our diets.

I found this spiffy calulator pantry thing that helps you track your nutritional daily intake. I'm gona follow it for a while. Sounds sorta like your program there girl! It's at the nutritiondata search thingie dingie if anyone wants to check it out before Josie boots my note! :) It helps alot to really look at the carb/fat/protien you take in with the total amount of calories.. makes you stand back and think!! ( My Goodness am i really takin that much in?!? ) YEP!!!

Hi, It has worked well for me and since I know first hand how hard we struggle when quitting smoking and trying to not gain weight I wanted to share it with you all.
You have to eat so many proteins, vegetables, fruit, starches, dairy and fat a day. You keep track of it all. I find I am eating more now than I have in a long while but am losing weight. Its kind of the combinations you eat that helps.
I also, walk or bike everyday and I really try to keep active which does help.
There are so many centers now I am sure there will be one near you. A consultation is free. I wnet for mine and then went home and thought about it for a few days and decided at this point I had nothing to lose (except weight) and everything to gain, and here I am a slimmer new me!!!
