Well i slipped and well i have but have started my quit again. At least my slup happened with in a few weeks of trying. I know i am not perfect by any means. But at least i have nothing in my site that will temp me. I know i can walk away from others that do smoke near me. I am not going to say "i will never slip again" cause their is always that chance it will happen. I hope it wont, but i know avoid lighting up. Shannon, What do you have to look forward to for keeping your quit? Do you have a reward system set up? If not, then you probably should set one up... rewards at 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, etc... all the way to 1 year, that you will do for yourself with the money you've saved by quitting to reward yourself for this achievement. I know you're on the patch right now, so perhaps the first few rewards will need to be free or really cheep rewards... say, renting a movie you've been wanting to see, or bubble baths or a good book that you want to read. Whatever will keep you motivated to stay quit! It's the most fun part of the quit. If you don't have a reward system set up yet, then look into doing things for yourself! You're worth it! Shannon, I am begining again also. We can do it. What I have learned from my other slips - Smoking - is that one puff is not enough and that it only leads to one cig, then another and so on. I does nothing for me, only to make feel awful. Not smoking will give us the freedom we want, all we need is the will to want it. Hang in there maybe we can help one another. Hang in the Shannon. Take another look at the tools in your Glove Compartment. Make sure you arm yourself with everything you might need like sugar candy, gum, coffee straws, affirmations, etc. Just don't smoke another cigarette.
