Congrats on getting through it. Smoking is a tricky addiction. Always keep your guard up - especially the first few months. Sounds like you crushed it. Great work!

Hi Pappy,
"never expected the withdraw to be that strong again after 9 days" Sometimes those urges do just pop up out of the blue like Stella said don't they? "Best part of it all was I did not give in" Awesome!!! Never give up, Never surrender. You are doing great so far Pappy, keep it going.
Stay strong and keep us updated with your progress okay?

I recall that happening during my quit, too.  Overall it got easier as the days went on, but once in a while I would have super strong cravings seemingly out of the blue. Just like you said, there would be a day in the second week that was harder than any day before it.  It helps to know that it's a temporary sensation, even if it feels like it's dragging on forever... the quickest way to get out from under those feelings is to not smoke AT ALL.  That's what I told myself over and over.  The quickest way out of this feeling is to simply not smoke at all.

Boy makes you wonder what the heck is happening. Yesterday was for the most part one long day of withdraw. Don't know why, started in the morning when I woke up and lasted almost until dinner time. Did my part of trying to distract myself with other tasks but never expected the withdraw to be that strong again after 9 days. Best part of it all was I did not give in. Still smoke free.
