I havent got a fan but if i feel panicky i go to the window and feel the breeze from that, think i will get a fan though, i also use a bottle of water to help me relax and do belly breathing, when i used go out i always had to have some to waft my face with, like a cd case or something like that to feel the breeze of it, so if your crazy then we all are

I use a fan as well, infact for a few year's I used 2 fan's to go to sleep, and currently keep one on 24 hours of the day on myself. I take great comfort from the sound, feel of it.
As for other bedtime routines I am currently trying out new one's now that I am getting my insomnia more in check.

Jason,

This doesn't sound crazy at all! Like Lisa said, I think people find many different things and ways to comfort themselves. Having a hot bath, warm milk, or deep breathing exercises are things that people might do to help ease their anxieties or worries before bed.

Members, do you have any routines or methods that help you fall sleep?

I'm a big fan person, always have it on when I sleep...and throughout the day for that matter.  Focusing on the breeze helps thoughts breeze away, so I'm right there with ya, Jason.

I don't think you are crazy ;) I think people find things that help like a comfort blanket, was just reading a post on another forum  about someone thinking drinking water being the answer, you find something that helps and cling to it. If it works go for it.

Ok this is kind of a wierd topic but im curious to know if this helps anyone else? Ok so ever since i started having panic attacks 9 years ago i started using a fan at night to blow on me and now i cant sleep without one. And if i start feeling panicky i always sit in front of the fan, its like it helps me breathe and the sound soothes me. Im just curious to see if this helps anyone else or am i just crazy? :)
