Living in fear?

Hi David, Diva has some great suggestions to help! Know that these are all normal feelings of having panic and anxiety. One does not necessarily have to have a full panic attack for the same treatment methods to work. You can still challenge these types of thoughts and overcome them. Well the way I understand this is, if it is not the behavior that is maintaining this it is the thought patterns. So maybe if you monitor your thoughts with the forms they give you here of with a diary then you can know what keeps you anxious, And once you know that you can start a daily routine of challenging those thoughts. And eventually once challenging your thoughts has helped you change your way of thinking your anxiety would most likely go down... Well anyway, that is the way i understand this lol. Week 1-3 are really great to help with this. Plus in some other weeks you will learn breathing and relaxation techniques that also help in my opinion. Hang in there you can do this! -Diva

I've not had a panic attack in ages, we're talking at least a year i'd say, yet I still live in fear, the sub-concious is still fearful if you get what I mean, its still expecting a monster to jump out of the cupboard, I get this every day, I believed its called high anxiety. The cure apparantly is to stop avoiding situations, but I haven't been, I get all with all my normal activities in fear all day every day. The only time it will lift is when I have a drink of alcohol, (And I don't drink to cure it, just socially now and again) Anyone know what I mean? Its like I've cured the panic attacks but the subconcious is still expecting them but there long gone.
