Cigarettes Not Smoked
I haven't forgotten my anniversary as it is a day of reflection. As I look back on years gone by I am reminded of just what it was like to be a smoking jack: a burn hole or two on the inside door panel, the carpet and car seat of my car, the unlit cigarette in hand - buddy can you spare a match, late evening marches to the store after finding that my carton had no more, the sting of the smoke getting into my eye, the yellow teeth and fingers, the persistent cough and the wondering if cancer or emphysema might be in store. I could go on adding more irritants and harmful effects that come with the smoking stick however I ask you to add some of your own here for us to ponder.
But no more, for I have quit and remain in quit mode for 8 years; not unlik others who have come before me. It is what we can do. It is what we should do. Each minute, hour and day that passes with missed instinctive reactions to lit up, has the accumulative effect of making your quit a success.
Have a super smoke free New Year
Stickin to it
