Hi carylene,
A bit of both probably!
This place is a microcosm of the world at large and negativity exists.
You are a month in and still adjusting.
My suggestion? Keep yourself away from any perceived negativity, be good to yourself, be proud of what you are doing, hold your head high and turn a one month quit into a lifetime.
Good Luck! :)

Has anyone experienced people who are trying to be supportive but inject negative thoughts? Here is an example:
"So the Chantix is working, huh? That's great, I was wondering about it myself. I hope you don't have any trouble when it's time to quit."
Me: Oh, I won't, I know this is it. I am not going to have any trouble at all.
"Well, I hope not. Let me know how it goes, though, especially when you quit the medicine."
Now WHY try to find something negative to focus on? Or am I being sensitive? Or do you think this isn't about me at all but about them finding an excuse not to try something new?
Melissa
