I would start by going there and sitting in your car for a half hour and see how you feel, then maybe walk around for a few minutes the next time, do it in steps.
Yes this helps. Thanks! Actually I was thinking about doing that ......going for a short time and just walking around a bit.....I just can't help having that feeling that "it" will happen again....especially in an enclosed place. I will need to work on that. Thanks again!
Dear LadyBug, I'd go there as often as possible, but using the skills I have learnt (deep breathing, suppotrive statements). But remember that you should break down the task, just like they tell you in the panic program. That's what I do with my problematic areas. I don't know, first just go there for a couple of minutes to look around, then for longer, etc.
Does this help at all?

My last panic attack took place about 2 weeks ago. I was telling my therapist that my husband wanted to go back to the same place where I had the panic attack. (It's an amusement park). Well, I started with the "what if's".......Basically, what if I have another panic attack! My therapist said that it would not be a good idea to go back to the same place where I had the panic attack, especially since it was a severe one. well this may be true for now, but how long will I be running from my fears or avoiding places where I've had panic attacks? Does it sound right, not to go back to the last place I had a severe panic attack?
