Thanks for checking in - I feel much better hearing from you. It sounds like things are going well with your family and that you have a great support system there. You should be very proud of yourself in changing your priorities to your family, you are definately reaping the rewards of your actions!
Im no EMS just know CPR thats all,Its been all most 2 weeks since this happend an its starting to go away I feel alot better but it will most likely alway be inside my head. thanks for all your kind words .I'll be ok iv got my family to love.
Please check in and let us know how you're doing after your experience. What you went through was pretty traumatic and I'd like to know you're handling ok. I'm not sure if you're like an EMT and do this sort of thing frequently or not. I just want to let you know I'm interested if you feel you need to talk about it more.
Luckily, I've never had to perform CPR on a person and I never want to need to. My Mom has, and she lost her person. It was someone she knew and she had a tough time afterward. She is a CPR instructor and it's her part time job now that she's retired. I don't always see eye to eye with my Mom and there's a lot of issues I have because of my Mom, but her determination in helping people in this way makes me proud.
Wow DJ, that is quite the experience you had. You are such a wonderful person for doing what you did, not everybody would have reacted the way you did. I am sorry to hear that he didn't make it.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, it really makes you think, and like you said, reminds us how precious life really is.
Thank you for sharing your story. You are obviously the most caring biker dude in the world! You should be commended for your efforts in trying to save the man's life, it is a difficult thing to have made such an effort and know you weren't able to succeed. If it helps, and I'm sure that you were told in CPR class, CPR is much less successful than we'd like. Please know you did all you could for this unfortunate man. I'm sure his wife was grateful to have someone there to try to help him.
You are to be commended for something else too - being affected by your experience the way you were. You took away the knowledge that life is fragile and that every moment counts. Then you went on to share with us. I needed to be reminded that even though I'm having problems at least my family is still around and I can appreciate them and let them know that I do.
Hay All,just needed to stop by and let you all know how preshes life is while on holidays I came across a very bad accedent,I had to preform CPR on a man who unforchently, did not make it . It was very grosum seen,But I took charge and did my best to try and save him as his wife watched. I later found out he was a father of two teenaged daughters as I am .his life was gone in a blink of an eye. Its a hard thing to get out of my head, I thought if I shared my story it mite help,I hope I never have to do that again! our lifes are so preshis, love the ones your with, tell them everyday you love them .because you never know. I hope I havent afended anyone by sharing this , I just cant get it out of my head.
